The image was added to Meta’s Media Matching Service database. Meta’s Oversight Board, which includes academics, rights experts and lawyers, was created by the company to rule on a small slice of thorny content moderation appeals, but it can also advise on. The user who created the post was notified by Meta both times their content was removed but was not informed that the removals were initiated by a request from UK law enforcement.
